Anime Download List 1-10 listing
How does your site rank up?
The Idea: It was initially an idea of another site, most people remember the owner being Pearson. Well, his site seems to have been abandoned, so we have created our own Anime Download List! This is a listing of sites based purely on my opinions and judgements. If you don't like that, feel free to leave.

Guidelines: Before we get into that, let me reiterate: This site is based purely on my opinion of your site. If you don't like my judgment, feel free to leave. However, that doesn't mean I can randomly give out scores. Several factors affect your overall score, and this guideline is here to show you how I go about ranking your site(s). Here are some basic checks I do.

  • What media do you provide? - What I look for is the diversity of the media. Naturally, the more Anime Series you have would earn you more points. If I added all the sites out there that hosts the same thing, I'd be really busy. However, just because you have over 1000 TB of anime doesn't automatically put you at the top of the list. Having manga, OSTs, anime movies and such helps.
  • Video Quality? - The quality of the media is divided into three categories: HQ (High Quality - ~170MB), MQ (Medium Quality - ~80MB) and LQ (Low Quality - Anything below 80MB)
  • How does the site look? - Your site should have an original layout, and an easily navigation panel. If I can't find what I'm looking for, then there's a problem. This is a very biased section.
  • Advertisements? - Lots of pop-ups are never a good thing. The same goes for obtrusive ads, such as blinking ones and text links.
  • Speeds? - Fast or slow? Fast Speeds in general puts your site higher than those with a lower speed. All speeds are rounded to the nearest 10kb.
  • Connections? - If I can open more connections to downloads, then it's great, otherwise don't worry too much about it.
  • Any requirements? - Do I need to download some plugin? Do I have to post on your forum?
  • Updates? - How often do you update your anime/site? I wouldn't want to see that the last time you updated your site on Christmas three years ago... In general, if you host on-going anime, you shouldn't have to worry about it, unless you have one episode when there are ten available.
  • What type of updates? - When updating, are you adding or removing media? If you're removing media, don't be surprised when your ranking is lowered.
  • Uptime? - If your site frequently goes offline, there's a problem. DDoS attacks, and being hacked is not a valid excuse! Get extra protection against hackers! Use two condoms!
  • Unnecessary info? - Many people like to put up a section devoted to information about popular anime, thus generating keywors for search engines to look for. Others like to cheat and put keywords somewhere on the site, visible or not. They are not necessary...
  • Any limits on downloading? - How many files can I download per day? I don't want to come to the site everyday to download only one file.
  • Free hosts? - Sites that ONLY use free hosts such as Rapidshare or Megaupload will be heavily scrutinized before being added.
  • Are you leeching sites?! - If you are directly linking to another site's files, your site will be blacklisted. Further steps might be taken to get you to stop, so watch out.
